About Dr. Tringas

Dr. Andrew J. Tringas is dedicated to creating outstanding smiles for his patients. To accomplish this, he regularly attends meetings at the state, regional and national levels. The knowledge gained from these meetings allows Dr. Tringas to incorporate new, verifiable technologies (i.e. those with sound research and not just marketing hype) as they become available to ensure the best orthodontic experience for his patients.

Dr. Tringas is a second-generation Florida native. He was born and raised in the small town of Gulf Breeze in the Florida panhandle.

Dr. Tringas began his undergraduate studies at the University of West Florida. As a sophomore, he transferred to the University of Florida, where he completed his undergraduate degree – a BS in Chemistry - in 1990. Staying in Gainesville, he attended dental school, where he graduated with High Honors (a designation reserved for the top 5% of the class) in 1994. He spent the next year in a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Gainesville. Next, Dr. Tringas attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for a three-year residency in orthodontics. Upon completion in 1998, he received his specialty

certificate and an MS in Oral Sciences. Dr. Tringas moved to the Orlando area in 1999, taking over the practices of Ferdinand and Ferdinand. Board Certification was attained in 2007.

In his spare time, Dr. Tringas enjoys spending time with his wife, Niki; son, John Andrew; and daughters, Kalina and Tiana. He attends church regularly and enjoys playing golf and softball. As a sports fan, he is an avid Florida Gator.
